“Speak Up or Stay in the Shadows?”

What an incredible honor it was to be invited by Tzu Chi Melaka to speak on a topic that touches so many lives—mental health.

Our session, titled “Face the Stigma – Speak Up or Stay in the Shadows?”, was more than just a talk. It was a shared moment of truth, connection, and courage. We opened up conversations about the silent struggles many face, the fears that keep us from seeking help, and the deep-rooted stigma that still surrounds mental health in our society.

But more importantly—we talked about hope. That healing is possible. That no one should have to suffer in silence. That speaking up is not a sign of weakness, but of strength.

Seeing the warmth, empathy, and open-mindedness of the audience reminded me why these conversations matter. Every story shared, every question asked, every tear and smile—was a step forward in breaking the silence.

Thank you, Tzu Chi Melaka, for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful journey. And to everyone who showed up, listened, and spoke up—you inspire change.

Let’s continue to walk this path together. Let’s keep speaking up.
