Once again, I express my gratitude to God because we can meet again after being separated for so long by the Covid-19 pandemic, and this year marks the second time the "Embracing Grace and Shining Hearts Award" has been held.
The award was introduced in 2020 to recognize and appreciate those who have greatly contributed to helping the local community. The recipients of this award are individuals who are resilient, sincere, humble, brave, never give up easily, and are willing to sacrifice for those in dire need of help and assistance.
I hope this award can provide encouragement and support to the recipients so they may continue their charitable work as long as their energy and efforts are needed.
Indeed, during the Covid-19 pandemic, which affected the entire world, we clearly saw both the positive and negative values of humanity as people fought to protect their own interests. We could see how human values could change in the blink of an eye. Feelings of fear, sadness, frustration, anger, suspicion, and jealousy often played on people's minds during the pandemic.
However, there also emerged a group of individuals, whom I call "Heroes" or "Warriors," who were willing to sacrifice their time and lives to save us from the Covid-19 calamity.
I hope we can all pray together for continuous good health and protection from all illnesses.
